Tema Ghana has partnered with ISA to form a more extensive baseball academy training program. The primary focus will be physical and mental development following these four elements: fundamentals, athleticism, character, and mental toughness.
ISA has a decade of international experience, which includes hosting international tournaments, leagues, camps, clinics and schools. ISA will apply these resources and bring the international presence to Tema Ghana. This will include academy training, camps, clinics and the ability to play international teams both locally and abroad.
Academy Coaching
Tema Ghana will be lead by the Director of Africa, Femi Temitayo Abolarin. Femi grew up in Kwara State, Nigeria. His dream was to pursue playing baseball at the highest level. His educational background included attending Polytechnic (ND) and (HND), where he achieved his national diploma. Femi pursued his college education by attending Malaysia College of Institute, where he obtained his certificate of completion with an emphasis on sports management.
Femi set about fulfilling his dream of developing baseball in his homeland and helping Kwara State Ministry of Sports and Youth Development further that goal. Femi enhanced his knowledge and expertise by attending numerous coaching clinics for sports management in the Netherlands. He also attended clinics in Sports Leadership South Africa. Femi was also head of the Kwara State Little League delegation to South Africa in 2012.
Femi participated in many national and international events, such as with the Nigerian Baseball Team in the 1998 All-African game qualifier in Ghana, the 2003 competition in Cuba and the 2007 Olympic qualifier in South Africa. He graduated from Malyasia College of Institute in 2009 where he achieved a Diploma in Sports, which led to his position in Sports Clinic Leadership in South Africa in 2012. Femi aims to build baseball and softball in Nigeria and beyond. His Double T Baseball and Softball program was the first step in building that dream in Nigeria. Femi has since become one of the most prominent figures in establishing baseball and softball in Nigeria.
